Linocut Prints

Linocut is my favorite form of printmaking. I made these prints by carving out my designs on a sheet of linoleum, rolling ink over the raised areas and running them through a printing press. In the third image, I carved out a frame with interchangeable pieces to go in the middle. My piece in the fourth image was put on display in my college's art museum as a part of a show.
Screen Prints

I created these prints by burning my designs onto a screen in the dark room, pulling ink across the mesh, and layering each color by hand. My most intensive design was composed of 14 layers and took me many months to complete.
Etching Prints

I made this print to learn how to do intaglio printmaking. I first coated a copper plate with ground, scratched my design to expose the metal, and submerged it in acid to bite the lines. After cleaning off the ground, I inked the plate and pressed paper onto it to transfer the image. I repeated this process again after adding more definition to the design.
